good and informative site for people of Guljana
athrab, atharv, guljana, sonbhadra - informative site....
Way to go dad, I am surprised by the site, Its very very good and I read the details of sonbhadra.Poonam
I have lived for about one year at two different times of six months each in Guljana when I was a child. Studied in Marwa Dhibar School in the first phase and in Bhawanpur school in the second phase. My mother, my wife and myself have purchased and own about 7 bighas of land in and around the village, all of which are adjacent to road. We would like to donate all or some part of these lands (as required)and if necessary give monetary contribution also, if someone/government comes out with some scheme of development of village viz. school, hospital, etc. The only condition will be that whatever is built must have my parents name attached.
U r Mukul for us. 'Ashok' I knew today only.Sorry for not been able to reply ur query earlier. My PC had undergone some upgradation n many of the files got lost. Somehow I could read ur mail today only. It is really very sweet n kind of u to have xpressed ur desire to donate the land and assist monetarily for devlpmnt wrk of the vill. Govt hosp(8 bedded) is starting in Pura vill. A high school seems to be a possibility. I'll discuss it with local MLA n xplore the feasibility for the school. I wish I had read ur mail earlier. I'm aware of ur land holdings in guljana and Alalpur (area west of the road belongs to vill Alalpur). If it comes through, certainly name of ur father will precede the name of the institution.
Its a great site for the younger generation(and generations to come) of Guljana to know their ancestors.
Even if i am not from Guljana but it was exciting to know the history of my neighboring village. The FAMILY TREE you gathered and uploaded is a great work and must have needed a huge effort(I was also planning to do the same in future for my village even before browsing this site).
I will be happy if you provide some details about history of MUSI, southern village of Guljana
Lat Long of my village home(24°56'35"N, 84°54'42"E)
First of all I xpress my appologies for not promptly replying ur querry. My PC was upgraded and many of the files got lost. Somehow I saw it today.Creating a vill history is a very long drawn affair. U'ill have to search old land records, get information from very elderly people, school records n discuss with various gharanas of ur vill who could help u with genealogical details. It took me three long years to piece up n weave the loose broken threads of info. Prolonged n frequent stay in the vill is a must.
Pl let me know what way I could be of use to u.
Nice information, many thanks to the author. I believe that anyone who wants to know something about this topic will like the post.I really loved reading blog.
It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming. Your website provided us with useful information to work on.
